Bing Li, MD PhD

I received my MD degree from China Medical University and obtained Ph.D. degree from Niigata University in Japan. Then, I studied bone marrow derived stem cells in kidney diseases from 2003 to 2005 as a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Research Fellow. I joined Dr. Duffield’s lab in May 2008 to pursue further stem cell studies, where I studied mechanisms by which human hematopoietic stem cells repair and regenerate the kidney after injury with a focus on vascular regeneration. I also studied Wnt signaling pathways in organ regeneration.

Since January 2010 I have returned to pursue Scientific and Clinical interests in the Department of Nephrology, 2rd Teaching Hospital of Harbin Medical University as a Professor.

Besides my academic life, I like to travel, do some sports like swimming, skiing and jogging. I also enjoy shopping and spending time with my family and friends.
